About Me

I’m Khalifah Price, a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Art. I focus on combining psychology and creativity to make art that feels intentional, expressive, and meaningful. I’ve always viewed both fields as a means of understanding people, overall how we think, how we feel, and how we express what words can’t always capture, which made bringing the two together a natural choice for me.

My work is driven by the intention to communicate meaningful ideas. Whether through visual storytelling or research-based projects, I aim to create work that reflects genuine experiences and encourages reflection.

Over the past few years, I’ve built experience across both psychology and art. As an art therapy intern, I saw how powerful creative expression and full engagement in the artistic process can be in helping people feel seen and understood. In a psychology research lab, I developed strong skills in data analysis and deepened my understanding of human behavior. I also led an original research study exploring how perceived parental confirmation influences the relationship between social media comparisons and self-esteem in late adolescents, managing participant recruitment, data collection, and statistical analysis to identify real-world patterns.

Alongside my research and hands-on experience, I create and share personal artwork. One of my pieces was selected for the Ogden Museum of Southern Art’s 11th Annual HBCU Art Showcase for its expression of cultural identity and personal perspective, and it was featured as the lead visual in New Orleans Magazine.

As I continue my journey, I will further explore the connection between psychology and art to create work that fosters understanding and tells stories that truly resonates.
